"WHAT'S MY AGE AGAIN"is definitely one of my favourite songs written by BLINK 182. This is an easy song to play on guitar. In this guitar lesson, you will find all the guitar chords, guitar phrases, guitar arpeggios and guitar strumming patterns explained step-by-step. My aim was to make this guitar tutorial as comprehensive and easy as possible. I have captured the guitar and my playing from a different angle in order for you to see clearly the way I play this song. "What's My Age Again" Guitar Intro:
On this Intro section ring finger and little finger, they stay fixed on the 11th fret/second and third-string, while the index finger follows the chords of the song. It's playing the root of every chord. The picking directions are quite easy to remember. Always two downstrokes and two upstrokes.
"What's My Age Again" Guitar Verse:
The verse is pretty much the same as the intro. It's only changing after repeating the first two bars three times.

No more arpeggios in the chorus. Only power chords. The power chords are very easy to play and used in most styles of music. Are called also fifth chords because they're made from the root note and the fifth(and octave which is the root).

In the second verse, we aren't playing arpeggios like in the first but we play again power chords in palm muting. To achieve the palm muting you simply need to play laying the palm of your hand on the guitar. The palm muting technique is more effective when a distortion pedal or distortion channel of an amplifier are engaged.
